The modification rate is meant to adjust Worker's Compensation premiums with a company's past experience and claims.

The industry standard is 1.00, which marks the average amount of claims in our industry. A company with a mod rate less than 1.00 has had less claims than average, while a company with more exposure has a higher rate.
